BILLIE SUTTON BENEFIT

A benefit meal and auction will be held on December 29, 2007 at the Burke Civic Center for 23 year old Billie Sutton, son of Bill & Renee Sutton of rural Burke, SD. Billie was seriously injured October 4th in a rodeo accident at the Circuit Finals in Minot, ND.  Billie was flown to Minneapolis, MN with a spinal cord injury.  Surgery was performed on October 8 and discovered that the spinal cord was damaged but not severed. On October 25th Billie was then flown to the Craig Hospital in Englewood, CO where he has been in rehab since that time.  Billie is planning to head home from the Craig Hospital on Friday, December 21st pending the arrival of his wheelchair. Billie is planning on driving his hand controlled vehicle home for the Christmas holidays and then will return to college at the University of Wyoming in Laramie where he will finish his degree in Business Finance. Billie plans to be present at the benefit in Burke on December 29th. The meal will start at 5:00 and the auction will begin at 6:00 PM CST. Items are coming in daily for the auction which include an Angus bull, a processed beef, a cutting bred colt, $1000 worth of vaccine, $500 worth of bull semen, a ton of mineral, hay, a GE Freezer, a pheasant hunt, custom made hat, numerous handmade items and many more items too numerous to mention. There will be something for everyone at this benefit auction.
