You have been invited to participate in the SDRA High School Fall Showcase Extravaganza. This is the 3rd year that the South Dakota Rodeo Association has showcased the top athletes in High School Rodeo. The rodeo is held in conjunction with the SDRA Rodeo Finals at the Pennington County Events Center in Rapid City, SD at 1:00 pm on Saturday, October 22nd. Registration will be from 11:00 to 12:00 October 22nd. There is a $25.00 entry fee and all monies will be paid back for prizes. You will need to pick up your checks at the SDRA Rodeo Office directly after the rodeo. Bring this letter with you, as the back of it will serve as your contestant pass into the rodeo.

The contestants were chosen by the following criteria:
*Inviting the top two students from each event in each region.
*Points are from regional rodeos, before state finals.
*Only eligible to compete in one event-the one with the highest number of points.
(the exception of this was in some rough stock events, where, because of low numbers - contestants were invited in that event to fill the event)

If you decide that you cannot compete in the rodeo for any reason, please contact Ann Sundermann at 605 529 5868 as soon as possible so we can contact the alternate in your event. Leave a message if there is no answer.

Enclosed is also an Entry Blank and Biography Form that must be postmarked by September 9th. These forms and your SDHSRA Membership has to be sent in at that time in order for you to compete. Payment must be made in two separate forms, one for the $25.00 entry fee to the SDRA, and a money order or cashiers check to the SDHSRA for a Membership Fee of $147.00. The SDHSRA Membership applications are on sdhsra.com for your convenience.
