SDHSRA CONTESTANT BACK NUMBERS

Contestant back numbers will be sent out with your spring rodeo packets. This will be your permanent number throughout the rodeo season. Please wear this number to all your practice high school rodeos, the regional rodeos, and the state finals. We will enclose two numbers for you to use for your rodeo season. You will receive a new set of numbers each spring to be used for that season.

WE ARE SUGGESTING THAT YOU LAMINATE THESE NUMBERS TO PROTECT THEM THROUGH THE RODEO SEASON!!

Be very careful when laminating your back numbers. You cannot use hot lamination or the numbers will melt. Use cold lamination and be careful.

The SDHSRA Board has agreed that if your number is torn, mangled, destroyed and you can turn it in, a new number will be provided to you at no cost. However if you lose your number, it will cost you $3.00 to have that back number replaced. You will note that your back number corresponds with your NHSRA Membership number and this number will be your permanent number throughout your High School Rodeo Career! Please take care of your number!!

If your number is lost, stolen, destroyed, etc. please contact the SDHSRA State Secretary as soon as possible.

The Third leg of the Triple Crown Rodeo to be held May 4, 2008 in Burke, SD. We will be having a Wrangler Jr. High Division Rodeo in conjunction with the High School Rodeo. We have had some concerns that this will take away from the High School Rodeo and make the day too long. To reassure everyone that we are committed to providing a good rodeo for both High School and Jr. High we have addressed the issues that were brought up to us, the Burke Riding Club committee. We are not expecting a large number of Jr. High entries and felt that we could run the same events at the same time, however if there become too many entries in some of the events, we will run the Jr. High events AFTER the High School Rodeo. We also will be running the events that are unique to the Wrangler Jr. High Division AFTER the completion of the High School Rodeo. Such as the Ribbon Roping and the Chute Dogging. We do not want this to interfere with the Triple Crown High School Rodeo and will work very hard to make sure that it doesn't. We are also committed to helping the Jr. High Division by providing a rodeo for them as long as we have the stock and all the committee together. Be assured that we will do our best to make sure the day does not get too long or that nothing is taken away from the Triple Crown High School Rodeo. Thanks for your understanding and allowing us to try something new.
